"Remake the party in his image"??? That's one of the many reasons why the GOP lost to Obama. I joined the party when Reagan was president. That is whom I think of when I think of GOP party image. McCain is a RiNO. If he and the Powell types are successful in "remaking" the party, they'll force out the conservative base (people like myself) and doom the GOP to the dustbin of history. He has done more damage to the party (insert Gang of # story here) than good in my opinion. The sooner he is out-of-office the happier I'll be. See ya, Mr. Maverick. And for the record, my vote was for Palin and against Obama. Shame on us for nominating him last election cycle!
