The Associate Press reports that Bill Ritter is firmly opposed to raising taxes in 2010, which just happens to be an election year. Like many Democratic politicians before him, Ritter has suddenly discovered his inner-fiscal-conservative just in time for election season:
DENVER, Colo. - Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter says he won't ask for a tax hike in 2010 to help balance the state budget.
Ritter said Wednesday the recession is hurting state residents and it's not a good time to ask them to pay more.
No word if he won't impose any new "fees" in 2010.
